The number of people infected with coronaviruses in the U.S. has reached record highs, and more than 20,000 people have died as a result of the pandemic.
The new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that the total number of coronavirotic infections and deaths has risen by nearly 400 percent from March to June.
The total number was already nearly 1,200 in March, but since June it has surged to 2,085, and it will likely climb further.
According to CDC data, coronaviral infections and death rates are rising at the fastest pace since 2002.
As a result, more than 2.5 million people have become infected with the coronovirus and 2.7 million have died.
CDC officials believe that as coronavillos continue to circulate in the population, the number of deaths will continue to rise.
The CDC says that the number for the first quarter of 2018 is likely to exceed the record number of 2.6 million deaths from coronavaccine-related coronaviremia.
It’s also likely that the coronivirus will continue spreading for the next few months, with coronoviral cases and deaths continuing to rise across the country.
We want to thank our partners at the CDC, the state and local governments, the medical community and health care workers for their hard work in combating this deadly pandemic, said Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the CDC.
